Veterans Tribute - November- The Institute’s annual "Tribute to Veterans" is held on or around Veterans Day, November 11. With the assistance of Lawrence American Legion Post No.14, KU ROTC, local veterans, a guest speaker, and others, the Institute and the community pay tribute to all who have “served.”
- U.S. Marine Corps Birthday Celebration & Program - November
- Since 2004, the Dole Institute has been the site of the U.S. Marine Corps Birthday Celebration and program. Local former U. S. Marines organize this annual event.
- U.S. Marines Toys for Tots - Early December
- With the Dole Institute as the venue, local volunteers assist the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program by sponsoring a festive collection spot for donated toys.
