Dole Fellow Peter Fenn visited with David Mark, senior editor for POLITICO and POLITICO.com. He is also the author of the acclaimed “Going Dirty: The Art of Negative Campaigning.” His previous work included serving as editor-in-chief of Campaigns & Elections magazine and as a reporter for Congressional Quarterly on Capitol Hill.

Dole Fellow Peter Fenn joined with Jim Innocenzi and Tom King to share their predictions for the November 2 elections. Jim Innocenzi has been involved in campaigns for over 24 years. In 2006 his firm, Standler-Innocenzi, won 17 of the 18 campaigns it was involved in and was named as one of the “winners” of the election cycle by The National Journal. Tom King was Political Director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. He is currently working on numerous Congressional, gubernatorial and Senate campaigns.

Bootstraps: In the early part of the 20th century progressives began their quest to realign American politics. At the same time
there was another conversation taking place among Black intellectuals. Dr. Christina Rivers, professor from DePaul University, joined Dole Fellow Kevin Jackson for a discussion about W.E.B Dubois and Booker T. Washington and the role their dialogue played in the development of black conservatism.

Help Wanted: Landing that Job in Washington
February 9-March 30, 2010

Dole Fellow Wilma Goldstein, with a variety of guests, discussed how to land the right gig in Washington. Goldstein has had a long career in management, political consulting, survey research, public relations, and political campaigns and associations. She has landed the right job many times, and occasionally, the not-so-right job. Most recently, Goldstein worked as a project manager for the Hawthorn Group, an international public relations firm.

Surviving in 2010: Blue Incumbents in Red Districts
February 24 - April 14, 2010

Dole Fellow David Strauss and guests discussed the Midterm election environment and offered their predictions.
Strauss has worked in both the executive and legislative branches of federal government. Currently, he serves as Chairman of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation Advisory Committee, a position he was appointed to by Pres. Obama in July 2009.
